Fertility Support Acupuncture

Peak fertility occurs with peak vitality.

The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) approach to enhancing fertility is to strengthen the entire system, with special focus on the reproductive system, so that the patient's body and overall health are at their peak. This increases the chances of achieving and sustaining a healthy pregnancy. Historically, this is likened to tilling the soil before planting the seed.

Marcus Dwyer B,Sc (Hons) Acupuncture &, Chinese herbs, Advanced Tungs acupuncturist, use's a unique fertility protocal developed by the late Master Tung Chin Chang that has yeilded great success over the years of treating clients with fertility issues. The protocol can easly be adapted to assist with IVF and IUI cases.

I also suggest lifestyle and nutritional guidance, individually designed to maximize reproductive and general health.

Acupuncture can safely be used prior to and concurrently with fertility medications and procedures such as Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF).

Studies have shown that acupuncture:

  • Calms the nervous system

  • Improves blood flow through the pelvic region

  • Improve pregnancy rates when used in conjunction with IVF

Due to the inherent nature of inserting needles during acupuncture and using cupping treatments, there is a slight possibly of Bruising, Hematoma, swelling and/or discoloration of/at the treatment site. The Oriental Medicine Clinic can in no way be held responsible if this occurs.
